Jazz at Lincoln Center’s third annual Coca-Cola Generations In Jazz Festival continues to celebrate the fact that jazz touches people of all ages. The festival pays homage to the jazz legends while also hosting developing artists who may one day be among the elite. The 2012 festival is highlighted by legendary tenor saxophonist Pharoah Sanders and his quartet.

Every autumn, BAM’s Next Wave Festival serves as New York’s most comprehensive and daring survey of progressive arts. This season’s highlights include a very special engagement of the final work by choreographer Pina Bausch, titled “…como el musguito en la piedra, ay si, si, si…”; an interactive video and music installation by filmmaker Bill Morrison and composer Richard Einhorn called The Shooting Gallery; and a performance of All That Fall, a radio play by Waiting for Godotscribe Samuel Beckett.
The Broadway on Broadway annual outdoor extravaganza is expected to be bigger than ever this year, as performers from all the top productions join forces for an all-star performance in Times Square. Broadway on Broadway is a last hurrah for summer and a look ahead to the fall season, with previews of brand-new shows along with highlights from long-running classics of the Great White Way.
